Die London Mission Society schickte 1806 zwei deutsche Missionare nach SWA. Es handelte sich um die Brüder Christian Albrecht, 29.6.1773-25.7.1815 und Abraham Albrecht, 17.1.1778-10.7.1810. Christian wirkte später auf Pella, wo er Sophie Brugmann am 5.8.1810 heiratete.
