Summary: Very interesting observation was made recently at Umhlanga Rocks when Mr. Mike Anderson-Reade, a field officer of the Natal Anti- Shark Measures Board dissected a tiger shark. He found the remains of a homing pigeon in the sharks gut. The pigeon had three rings on its legs, a metal ring numbered ZAU 7655 D415, a blue rubber ring M907 and an unmarked orange plastic ring. The shark was 3,5 metre long and had also the remains of a turtle and a dolphin in its stomach
