Fast facts
Although spotted hyenas are perceived to be the most abundant large carnivore in Bwabwata National Park (B N P), they are the least observed. Classified as threatedut species, spotted hyenas may number less than wild dogs in the west Zambezi. The Kwando Carnivore Project continues its research on hyena distribution, connectivity with other countries and the issues surrounding human-wildlife conflict.
