The purpose of this paper is to describe the thermoregulatory behaviour of the desert lizard Angolosaurus skoogi. The habits of Angolosaurus skoogi are little known, they are highly adapted to its unique environment. The use of the vegetationless and generally resource-depauperated dunes in thermoregulation emphasizes the importance of attaining and maintaining body temperature in a context other than as a simple concession to foraging or social processes
