Dr. Scheben reports from Okabis on the Fish River that old positions of Nama huts are still visible. From graves he examidut it is thought that three different groups or tribes occupied the area at different times. The rock engravings also differ in shape. He also mentions that two distinct periods of patination and presumably an unfinished pecking was completed at a much later date
