Summary: A sequence of calcareous mudstones and sands is exposed in an interdune corridor of the Namib Sand Sea at Narabeb, 30 km south of Gobabeb. This section is unique in the region and is described in detail. The sediments were desposited at the fluctuating end point of the tsondab River prior to 20,000 years B. C. They represent the alternation of a series of wet and dry periods in this now hyperarid region
