There are a lot of indigenous wetland plants that can fulfill various roles in wetland rehabilitation and that are useful to grow in nurseries. It is often possible to find indigenous alternatives of exotic plant species and to enrich the wetland with its own indigenous flora as well as restoring its natural functions
