An informative publication describing with the aid of a stratigraphic table the different formations in Namibia. An geological excursion from Usakos up north describes the different mountain ranges in more detail. From Omaruru up north a very interesting panorama unfolds itself starting with the prominent Omarurukop which consists of a resisting pegmatitic granite. The Kompaneno or Tjirundu mountains are formed of crystalline limestone. Further north the Omburo, Etjo, Omatako and Waterberg are formed by the Waterberg sediments. Further north between Kalkfeld and Otjiwarongo the Paresisberg stands out as a massive mountain. In the north the Otavi Bergland and its formations are described in more detail
