Jakob Morenga { Marengo} is concidered as one of the most famous resistance heros in Namibia. The Germans had many conflicts and battles with him until he was killed in a battle at Eenzamheid on 20 September 1907 by British police forces. Major Elliot and his police force from South Africa eventually killed Marengo and most of his followers in a follow up operation. In publications the surname of Simon Koper is often misspellt: Kooper, Kopper, Coper, Cooper or Copper
