This publication examines the wax blooom of twelve species of Namib tenebrionids belonging to two tribes, the Adesmiini and Zophosini and a number of tenebrionid beetles in the Namib Desert have a wax bloom covering either all or part of the integument. How the morphology of the wax bloom relates to the survival of these beetles is discussed
