Chamaegigas intrepidus is a tiny poikilohydric member of the Scrophulariaceae growing endemically in ephemeral rock pools on granite outcrops in Central Namibia. In this reprint anatomical, biochemical and physiological adaptions to this complex of extreme environmental conditions are discussed
