Summary: Excavations at the Geduld cave in the Outjo district have produced a ceramic sequence beginning 2000 years ago. The first appearance of domestic stock by at least 1 800 B P was also indicated. In addition iron objects, one from a level dated c.1790 B P where found, including ostrich eggshell beads. Prof. von Hatten is currently busy with a study on the early appearance of sheep in Namibia
