Dragon's Breath Cave is located 46 kilometres (29 miles) northwest of Grootfontein in the Otjozondjupa Region of Namibia. The cave was discovered by Roger Ellis during a caving expedition to the area in 1986. It is named for the moist air rising from its entrance which resembled the breath of a dragon. During the 1986 expedition by the South African Speleological Association the cave and lake were mapped-out and reported.
