Euryops walterorum is a national treasure, growing invisibly to the public on the hard-to-access Gamsberg plateau. The data obtained from the long-term monitoring measures that are now in place will be indispensable and instrumental in revealing population trends in time, such as a further decline in population size, or problems with germination and seedling establishment in this very limited population, and may provide imperative information for understanding and mitigating these effects.
