In 1974 the authors eleborated an initial geomorphological outline of the Kuiseb River valley up-stream of Gobabeb. Subsequently other authors contributed to the geomorphology of this region and published different results and consequently the authors re-checked the area in 1978 and obtaidut the following conclusions described in this publication
